Gather the Right Supplies

Preparing the Fruit
Next, select which fruit you will be using to make the wine. If you’re just starting out, we recommend using grapes because you simply can’t go wrong with the taste. Once you’ve chosen the fruit, clean it thoroughly, removing any dirt that might have adhered to it. You should also make sure to remove any protrusions like leaves or stems before proceeding to the next step.
Once cleaned, the fruit is ready for crushing. Place it in a crock and then crush using your hands until there is no more juice contained in them. Ideally you should fill up almost to the rim with juice. However, if you don’t have any fruit, you can make up that volume by adding water. - After letting it sit overnight, remove the lid and stir few times a day for the next four days.
- Allow the wine to age for at least a month before you pour yourself a glass.
